As a new astrological year began with the spring equinox and the sun moving into the constellation of Aries, I was honoured to celebrate this with six wonderful women at my Equinox Awaken Retreat in Bristol. We had a wonderful session connecting to the energy shift and grounding ourselves pre-eclipse season.
The eclipses along with Mercury turning retrograde feel like the universe is asking a lot from us! This a time to remember that we do have the flexibility to move with the ebb and flow of cosmic energy even when times are challenging. How to work with Eclipse Season
The recent lunar eclipse in Libra (25th March) and the upcoming solar eclipse in Aries (8th April) remind us of both endings and new beginnings. Eclipses often bring our attention to an area that is ready to see change. Whilst sometimes signifying a more testing period, they are helpful at reminding us how to find flexibility and to roll with the shifts in life.
The eclipse axis we are working with this season is Libra/Aries. If you have a birth chart, take a look at which houses these signs rule. This will give you an idea as to which life topics are being illuminated for you under these eclipses.
Eclipse energy can take a while to play out, so whilst you might not notice shifts on the day of the eclipse, I recommend taking note or journalling about what is coming up for you around the time of an eclipse. This can prove to be insightful at the time and for reflection later on.
Mercury retrograde has also arrived in Aries to remind us to slow down and take some time to understand what needs to be reassessed or revised now. Mercury will turn direct on 25th April, so between now and then can be a helpful time to review what the eclipse energy is showing us.
This is all heading towards the conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus on 20thĀ April. These two planets, which will be aligning at this time feel like they are bringing an awakening or breakthrough. Keep a look out for any shifts or changes in your world in the week leading up to this date and the week after. Some people will feel the conjunction more than others - it all depends on where and what is being activated in your chart.
All in all - interesting times ahead so hang in there and enjoy the ride!
My top tips for eclipse season:
Keep your schedule light if you can, so if shifts come in, you have more room to work with them.
Identify what helps you to feel grounded and do more of it!
If things feel chaotic or challenging, remember this is transitory, energy is always moving, and this too shall pass.
Keep your heart and mind open to insights. Eclipse seasons usually have somethingĀ useful to show us, so keep your feet on the ground and eyes on the cosmos!
