Greetings fellow star gazer,
It’s been a while, but I am back, riding high on the energy of the new moon in Aquarius and excited for the Celtic festival of Imbolc this weekend. I’ve taken things slowly in January and feel ready to embrace new starts in February – how about you? Are you feeling the pace begin to pick up?
I’ve been enjoying lots of winter walks this year, even on grey days, but equally battening down the hatches when the ferocious storms arrived. Whilst I can’t wait for the blue skies of spring, I do love this time of year for spotting green shoots, not just in the garden but life in general. The potential of new beginnings feels fresh and alive as the energy starts to shift and the days are that little bit longer.
This new boost of energy has given me food for thought. I’ve decided that my newsletter will now be sent just after the new moon to include key dates for the upcoming lunar cycle. This will hopefully be a helpful reminder for those of you who are tracking different phases of the lunar cycle, plus it will include a heads up on any major cosmic action.
You, dear reader, will also be the first to know about any new courses and offerings I create for 2025. In other words, you will have first dibs!
On that note, if you feel ready to be guided by the stars in a 1:1 session to welcome in some fresh energy for the year ahead, you can book a Birth Chart reading with me and we can open a little cosmic door together.
And so onwards and upwards – here is my star-studded offering to you for the month of February…
Lunar cycle check-in
This lunar cycle began with a new moon in the air sign of Aquarius. Fresh with potential and ready for deep change (underlined by Pluto’s presence, also in Aquarius), we can use some of this Aquarian energy to provide a tail wind for the month. Just keep your focus – there’s a lot happening!
The story of Mars retrograde in Cancer is ongoing for much of February, but Mars will station direct on 23rd/24th of the month. Uranus in Taurus has now turned direct and Jupiter will turn direct in Gemini on 4th February. This suggests a forward momentum for this next month, so if you have a birth chart pay attention to the houses these planets are lighting up - these represent the life topics that will likely start to move and shift.
And if you don’t have your birth chart, just be aware that the skies are busy, so be kind to yourself! If we work consciously with the cosmos, we can be open to and prepared for what is to come.
For all you lunar cycle lovers - here are the dates for the main lunar phases in February, with mini prompts for the cycle ahead: (for time zones PST/ EST/ GMT)
5th: First Quarter Moon in Taurus ~ What’s going well in your world? A helpful phase to practice gratitude and call in some Taurean abundance.
12th: Full Moon in Leo ~ Time to welcome some life-giving energy! What do you need to let go of to shine brightly?
20th/ 21st: Last Quarter Moon in Sagittarius ~ Take in the big picture. How far have you come and where do you want to go?
23rd - 26th: Balsamic Moon phase ~ And breathe… a soul soothing time to clear energy channels ready for the next new moon.
27th/ 28th: New Moon in Pisces ~ The call for deep reflection beckons with the last new moon of the astrological year.
Our latest Astro Goddess has arrived!
To celebrate the new moon in Aquarius, artist Emma Catherine and I brought our beautiful Aquarius Astro Goddess to the world. Blending artwork and poetry, she’s an invocation of Aquarian magick. This is the third to be released in our Astro Goddess collection, with the rest of the Goddesses just waiting in the wings to be set free! You can view the collection so far here…
Astro courses for 2025
After listening to your requests, I am creating online mini astro courses/workshops for those who want to learn more about astrology and moonology. If you’d like priority notification of when they will be available to book, just hit reply to this email and I will add you to the waitlist.
And finally, if you’re ready to do some star gazing during the month of February, I can recommend the SkyView Lite app (free) which I’ve been loving using to identify the planets and constellations on a clear night. Enjoy!
Wishing you a magickal month,
With love,
